P.A.X. Imperator V2.0 is a Weapon in The Surge.

P.A.X. Imperator V2.0 Information

“An arm-mounted section of the Pacification Automaton X's powered blade weapon, refit for use at a human scale. Even scaled down it retains formidable mass and can deliver devastating blows. A fully functional energized cutting blade enables it to cleave through augmented machinery, and salvaged gyros release a seismic slam upon impact with the ground.

P.A.X. Imperator V2.0 details

  • The ground slam attack also release a seismic shockwave.
  • Parries can do minor elemental damage.

P.A.X. Imperator v2.0 Location

  • Dropped from P.A.X boss if you kill him by Hardcore means.
  • To get the hardcore kill, you need to hit his supporting leg when he is stomping, and not let him get hit by his own missiles once. doing this will cause him to drop as if he was hit by his own missiles, and then you can hit his weak points.
  • Be careful of him getting splashed by his missiles when he's close to a wall and firing at you - this is the most common way to accidentally miss the hardcore kill.
  • If you're not good at hitting his support leg while he's trying to stomp you, just keep attacking his legs even if he's not stomping - he will eventually fall down and you can attack his weak spots.
  • Remember that P.A.X. has three weak spots - one on each side of his "head" and one underneath in back - if you're attacking and not doing damage, switch to the other side of his head.

P.A.X. Imperator v2.0 Notes & Tips

  • Is a better version of P.A.X. Imperator
  • Drops pre-upgraded to Mk. I
  • Aside from the shockwave, its moveset is not special, since more than a half of single-rig weapons have the ground slam attack.

If you want an easy, well easy in my opinion, hardcore kill just use the Yosuke Butterfly you get in the plant, it’s fast and has a fluid multi hit spin combo that lets you hit either leg regardless of which one is raised. It took me all of three minutes to kill him by just dodging forward behind his legs and the hack’n’slashing his armor off.

Can confirm that you CAN NOT get it in NG+.

I'm in NG++ and I still don't have it. In NG I legit missed it, but in NG+/+ I made sure he was never near walls and never took any damage from his own rockets. Still drops the regular version every time.

This is the only v.2 boss weapon I missed when I started. Can we still get the 2.0 version in NG+ If we have the reg version in inventory?

To get this you actually wait for him to do his leg stomp and hit the other leg when one is raised. Then pound him. Rinse and repeat. Easy kill

Somehow, I failed to get this even though it didn't get hit by rockets once. There were a couple moments early on where it randomly fell over even before I filled the orange bar, so maybe it glitched out?

The Damage stat is calculated including the weapon proficiency.
Had 70 damage with the Mk. II with proficiency level 9 and 72 damage with level 10.

Maybe the spgrade table should include the raw stats and not the overall damage stats?
