Heavy-duty and Single-rigged weapons are slow, consume a lot of stamina and have inhenrant (very) high impact.
Taking that into consideration, Operator class set are clearly a match. Stamina consuption reduced on body gear, attack speed on arm gear. Just what the weapons need.

From early to end-game the LYNX set is the indisputed best gear. Giving even more ASPD with it's gear set bonus. At the end-game, I believe that the Chrysalis set become the best option.

Concerning the weapons. Early to end-game, the best choice for me are ENDAS RS3 'Titan' and P.A.X. Imperator v2.0. Both have high energy gain.

I know, I know. It's suppose to be about Heavy-duty weapons but I'm talking about the P.A.X. ! Well, that's because the P.A.X. is better for it's purpose than any other Heavy-duty avaible at this moment of the game. Why handicap yourself ?

ENDAS have Very High impact and specialise in crush damage, making it the main weapon of the build. The P.A.X. is also used for different reasons, such as :
- killing robots more easily. The Maintenance and Bloodhound robots are sensible to slash damage on their upper arm/tail.
- a more defensive playstyle. I canno't say enough how strong is the R1 after blocking an attack. Very useful against Homo-Machinalis for exemple.

Concerning the end-game (CP85 + Chrysalis set) : the MG Judge v2.0 is clearly the best weapon. But some ennemies are really resistant to elemental damage (like the Liquidator Worker or Nanite Mass) and a weapon with Crush damage become really handy against them.

However, security guards are really sensible to elemental damage. The best weapon would be the Codename: Moonlight. But it have poor energy gain bonus,. Hence, need a Voltaic Dynamo to be able to use the drone's ability Anti-Kinetic Shield and executing ennemies.

The beginning of an attack animation can be canceled by blocking. Playing slow weapons, it is important to know when to trade or avoid damage. Also, Heavy-duty and Single-rigged weapons have more frames when blocking for a "perfectly timed block" aka "parry".
However, cancelling an attack still consume the stamina required for the attack and blocking. Hence the addition of the Gyro-Stabilizer implant.

With that low defense, the use of the drone's ability Anti-Kinetic Shield proved to be really helpful, when it is avaible.

Using high damaging weapons that generate "just enough" energy to execute, I think the best supportive source of healing is the Aggression Amplifier implants.

A Walk in the Park : If you bought the DLC, the most interesting thing coming from it would be the mascot head. Those head gears still activate the bonus set making them useful for the drone's ability (-30% energy consumption).
When the Anti-Kinetic Shield is avaible, equiping the Head of Bradley the Bean would be the best option with the LYNX set.
Why this one in particular ? The lowest defense of the LYNX set is slash. The mascot head with the most slash defense is this one. With around 12 weapon proficiency for Heavy-duty, the Portable Omni-Assembler become better than the ENDAS RS3 'Titan'.

Alright, let's look at the build now :

LYNX

CP25

Two Vital Boost v.1
Two Vital Injection v.1
Two Aggression Amplifier v.1

The second Aggression Amplifier is in Central Production B, near Dean Hobbs.

-----------

CP35

Vital Boost v.1 & v3
Two Vital Injection v.1
Two Aggression Amplifier v.1
Gyro-Stabilizer v.2

-----------

CP45

+ Sunglasses

Three Vital Boost v.3
Two Vital Injection v.3
Two Aggression Amplifier v.1 & v.2
Gyro-Stabilizer v.2

Equiping the Sunglasses is better until the drone's ability Anti-Kinetic Shield is avaible. They improve damage on unarmored part and have more physical defense.

----------

CP55

Three Vital Boost v.3
Three Vital Injection v.3
Two Aggression Amplifier v.1 & v.2
Gyro-Stabilizer v.2
Voltaic Dynamo v.2

--

CP65

Two Vital Boost v.5 and one v.3
Three Vital Injection v.3
Two Aggression Amplifier v.1 and v.2
Endurance Enhancer v.5
Gyro-Stabilizer v.2
Voltaic Dynamo v.2

The MG Judge v2.0 can launch electrified flares (cost 10 energy). The combos taking advantage of that specificity should be prioritized.
The Voltaic Dynamo improve the poor energy gain bonus of the weapons.

Chrysalis set

CP85 +9

Ancillary Core XL
Three Vital Boost v.5
Three Vital Injection v.5
Aggression Amplifier v.2
Endurance Enhancer v.5
Gyro-Stabilizer v.2
Vanadium E-Cell v.5
Rig Capacitor XL
Velocity Array v.3
Voltaic Dynamo v.2

About this set :

The Chrysalis bonus set gives back 15% health everytime an enemy is killed. Replacing one and a half Aggression Amplifier v.1. I replace both. Getting 35% health back for each execution is good enough.

Also, the Chrysalis head gear reduces the drone's energy consumption by 50%, allowing an easy use of the Anti-Kinetic Shield drone module.

Compared to the LYNX arm gears, the Chrysalis arm gears gives a total of +4% ASPD. With the Velocity Array, I believe that the ASPD is even higher than the LYNX set bonus.

The Chrysalis leg gears have lesser stamina reduction for dodges the the LYNX ones, but it's really not a problem.

It's for those reasons that I think that the Chrysalis set is not only better than the LYNX set, but the best gear set for Heavy-duty.
