Equalizer is a Weapon in The Surge.
Equalizer Information
“The product of an unhealthy obsession with revenge, this blunt weapon reflects its creator's single-minded purpose. The heavy pneumatic strut that forms its core must have been assembled from a great deal of repurposed scrap, and the attached electrical discharge unit seems deliberately intended to cause as much pain as possible. ”
Equalizer Details
If you've given Jo the tech scrap that she asks for prior to finding her lair, the Equalizer will be lying on the desk next to the door. If you've not given her the scrap, then you will instead recieve the Sunglasses. It's advisable to be weairing either a full set of Elite Hazard Gear, or the Toxic Autofilter implant when you try to get into her lair, as the poison gas traps that she's set outside the door and unlock panel is quite nasty.
Equalizer Location/ Where to find
- Research & Development - Jo's Lair
- Central Production B - In front of OPS, after giving Jo scrap three times
- It's possible to get the Equalizer from Patchwork Zombies in NG+
Equalizer Notes & Tips
- Roughly equivalent damage-wise to the ENDAS RS3 Titan and Bloodhound, but has a fair load of elemental damage in addition to the crush damage. Unfortunately it's Proficiency Scaling is low, so it's damage doesn't scale as well as the Bloodhound.

What is meant by central production b - 'in front of OPs' ? OPs?

This weapon is actually "situationally" quite good, it deals primarily crush which makes it a solid choice for late game chrysalis enemies, and the splash of elemental helps balance its damage output against most other enemies. It does "not" have the spin to win move set, instead it's much more single target oriented, it plays a bit differently from most heavy duty weapons but it's really not bad overall.
